Tim Scahill
Tim is the President of Layer 8 and manages the day to day operations. Tim has 20 years experience in design, implementation and support of complex Information Technology solutions. Tim has a degree in Electrical Engineering and holds several industry certifications.

Cathy Uhrich
Cathy has over 20 years experience in software development, marketing analytics, customer service, and help desk management. Cathy heads up all application and web development projects at Layer 8. Cathy has a Degree in Business Management.

Dan Grassel
As a Senior Developer for Layer 8, Dan has been involved in most of the larger web development projects at Layer 8 for the past 7 years. Dan possesses an expert skill set in HTML/DHTML, DotNetNuke, JavaScript, MS .NET, Visual Studio, PhotoShop, SQL Server, and IIS. Dan holds a B.S. degree from RIT in Information Technology.

Christian Greaves
Christian started in Infrastructure Support with a large national satellite TV provider in New Jersey. After moving to Rochester in 2005, Christian has been providing expert consulting with specialties in Windows scripting, remote management, remote backup services, and server management.

Drew Grobengieser
Drew has 5 years experience in Data Center Operations. Drew's job duties include supporting Layer 8's Enterprise Datacenter which supports over 40 servers, hosting applications, web sites, email and database services for over 200 customers. Drew has a B.S. degree from RIT in Network and IT Security.

Luke Crissy
15+ years Telecom/IT consultation and project management services. Contract negotiation, service provider coordination, service procurement. Equipment manufacturer selection and vendor approval. Bill scrutiny and reconciliation with providers. End user sales consisting of a full suite of IT Managed services, co-location, hosting and web development products. PBX sales, installation and service of analog/digital/VoIP/hosted VoIP equipment. 20+ years of Voice/Data structured premise cabling design & installation. Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology.

Fred Moore
Fred has over 3 years of experience working with networks and network security. Fred is currently pursuing his Cisco CCNA certification. Fred has a Bachelor's degree from RIT in Information Technology concentrating in Network and System administration, as well as a minor in Communications.

Mark Muthig
Mark has 20+ years’ experience is design, development, and delivery of complex software systems, with the past 9 years in Health IT. Mark is responsible for development and management of Healthcare IT Services for the Layer 8 Group. Mark holds his degree in Computer Science from Rochester Institute of Technology, along with certifications in project management, systems integration, and business process re-engineering from Computer Sciences Corporation.

Aaron Rombaut

Matt is a graduate of St. John Fisher College, and brings more than 5 years of financial experience, specializing in cost analysis and process improvement.

Jonathan Pelland
Jon joined the team after graduating with a B.S. in Information Technology from RIT in 2008.

Tim Eddinger
Tim has a long technical background both in hands on and technology sales. Early in his career he helped design, build, implement, and inspect electronics for Welch Allyn, Everest, Harris RF, NASA, and many local companies throughout the Northeast Region. Tim’s Telecommunication background plays a big part in helping customers with their overall infrastructure needs and future growth. Tim is helping develop Business Strategies here at The Layer 8 Group, which is an exciting and cutting edge place to work. Developing good customer plans the help their company run more efficient and effectively through the implementation of technical innovation, support, IT management, communications support & service, and cloud services.
